Bank Holiday Monday May 6th 2019  11am -3pm  SN4 7PX

This event has grown and grown over the years  with over 1000 people attending  for the last 2 years.  It is well advertised and this year will be in the NGS  booklet for Wiltshire too.

Within the lovely grounds of this 18th century Manor House there will be some 30 stalls scattered around the garden with plants, crafts, food  and other related products as well as the ever popular bacon - buttie BBQ and home made refreshments.  A plant crèche enables people to stroll around without having to carry  purchases.

For the younger people there will be outside games to keep them occupied.

Money raised will go towards the upkeep of St Peter’s Church the Grade 1 listed building in Clyffe  Pypard.  Entrance £2. Children and car parking  free.

Dogs on leads are allowed.

Details for Stallholders

Stallholders selling plants, local food, products, crafts and garden related items are welcome to ask for space.

This is the only time that Bushton Manor Opens it's gardens to the public allowing funds to be raised for the upkeep of the local Grade 1 listed church situated in Clyffe Pypard village. The event is now in its 12th year and is organised by volunteers.

The pitches are outdoors and although stallholders are expected to bring their own weather protection (not greater than 12 x12) there is some space inside a marquee.

Unloading can be done very nearby and there are free parking spaces allocated to stallholders. Setting up is usually from 9am with the public being admitted from 11am to 3pm.

We bring free hot drinks around to stallholders.

St John Ambulance are on hand for  First Aid requirements.

The last 2 years have seen over 1000 visitors with the event being well advertised locally and this year in the NGS book for Wiltshire.

The cost per pitch is £15 plus 10% of turnover on the day.

Unless we hear to the contrary, then your name and contact details will appear in the listing in our Information Booklet.  Alternatively you can place a full or half page advertisement at the additional cost of £45 a page or £25 a half page.

HELP NEEDED

The small band of organisers always need help from others be it beforehand, on the day or afterwards !

Here are some of the jobs that could need help :

* Putting up roadside posters 2 weeks beforehand

* Serving teas

* Taking money at the gates, teas and  bbq

* On the Saturday afternoon helping with erecting gazebos, putting up chairs and tables

and signs within the grounds

* Car parking at Village Hall and Manor House

* Putting up signs along the road outside the Manor House on the morning of the event

* Donating tombola prizes ( if possible garden related)

* Looking out unwanted but still useable garden related items for the bric-a-brac stalls

* Making cakes for the cake stall or for refreshments

A lot of these things do not take long and many hands certainly make the workload a lot lighter !  Contact Barbara 01793 739017 0796 2236678  and she will direct you to the person in charge of the particular role you might like to be involved with.
