Our aim

The Parochial Church Council’s aim is to conserve, preserve and where appropriate improve this historic building, its contents, graveyard and surrounding area. We also want to keep St Peter's open for worship, community events and   for visitors now and for generations to come.

 

 

Who are the Friends?

Friends of St Peter’s is a membership group open to everyone whatever faith or background, who love and care about this historic building, its many artefacts and our heritage.

 

 

Can you spare your Time, Talent, or  Treasure?

Friends can give their time, talent or treasure in any way or combination they choose.

 

Time  - a couple of hours at an event; Designing or printing a leaflet; Attending the Spring/Autumn clean; Baking; Creating items for sale. Attend an event and bring along a few friends too.

 

Talent - apply your talents;  Desk-top publishing; H&S Risk Assessments pre events; Baking cakes for teas; Teaching others new skills; Assist with marketing events; Arranging Sponsorship;Help maintain this interesting Grade1 building; Create your own fundraising event. 

 

Treasure – Recycle unwanted gifts and housewares for  our bric-a-brac stall; support our appeals for restoration or  development projects; Remember St Peter’s in your will.
